I submit however, that:
WORK LIFE HAPPENS, "ON THE EDGE" OF DEEP WATER!
What on earth can this mean? I mean that I can have a productive and lively WORK LIFE, and help you with yours, even if I run much deeper at the center than most coaches or consultants you might hire.
Consider: A great and deep lake or ocean has more life at it's edges than in it's depths. It is easy to see the dragonfly soar, see the cricket take a drink, to hear the bird sing, watch the fish, and observe the plant life at the edge. Very little of this would be possible at the edge of a shallow mud puddle. The depth is needed to support the life that happens at the edge.
In this same way, we too spend most of our time AT THE EDGE of the deep waters of life. We play, and sing, run, and walk, joke and waste time - sometimes together and sometimes apart. Our work life mostly happens ON THE EDGE - even though it is, as the life at the edge of the great lake or sea, POWERED BY THE DEEP WATER, and RUNS BACK TO DEEP WATER if you follow it's full course.
By WORK LIFE, I generally mean vocation, or the things we intend and DO.
By ON THE EDGE I mean that they happen in a context that usually does not involve theology lessons and lengthy pondering of such deep ideas as God and the meaning of life.
I share MY own deep water here, pulling back the cover most people wrap around their deeper selves, so that you may better understand the life assembled at the edge of my being. These things INFORM me, and power me, underlie me, and give me a strong foundation. But I am not a kook or a preacher.
In the end, I am a COACH - A HEALER - A CREATOR - able to help you move in these directions as well, or simply, as seen at the edge, gain more PPSP or Personal Power, Spiritual Power. You too can be supported by my depth - even if you just want more life on your edge : )
